Assignment description : The Volunteering House of Rhineland-Palatinate association (MRP Volunteering) offers you the opportunity to carry out various missions in the Franco-German field, in particular within the framework of Franco-German Volunteering. Franco-German Volunteering is carried out in partnership with the Civic Service and the Franco-German Youth Office. Both the VEFA and the VCFA represent a year of professional orientation for young French people aged 18 to 25, open and motivated who want to get involved in the field of nature and environmental protection or culture in Germany. The projects and missions during the Franco-German volunteer year are vast and affect different areas, in relation to ecology, sustainable development, culture (the descriptions can be found on our websites: www.ve-fa.org (for ecology) and www.vc-fa.org (for culture). The VEFA association also offers shorter missions, such as the mission of the ambassadors of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté-Rheinland-Pfalz regions and the missions within Franco-German cultural centers and Goethe Institutes.
The foundation for Franco-German cultural cooperation is responsible, among other things, for: Franco-German Cultural Council, “Perspectives” and “Loostik” festival, Franco-German Youth Literature Prize, Franco-German-Luxembourg youth newspaper (EXTRA) and the IEF in Saarbrücken. The aim of the foundation is to promote cultural relationships between France and Germany.

The volunteer will be integrated into a dynamic Franco-German team. The volunteer will be attached to the administration and will assist in the projects mentioned below, for example.

1/ Cultural events
Collaboration in the organization and implementation of festival events (e.g.: evening cash register, reception of the public, distribution of the program, recovery of guests).
Collaboration in the preparation of the awards ceremony
Collaboration in the design and monitoring of educational projects.

2/ Communication
Participation in general communication (especially social networks and websites)
Participation in press and public relations
Translation and proofreading

3/ Administration, finances
Collaboration in the preparation and administrative follow-up of all projects.
Collaboration in the preparation of committee meetings
Office tasks of all kinds

During the volunteering year, you benefit from 4 weeks of Franco-German seminars conducted by intercultural trainers. You benefit from double tutoring. There will be a tutor from your host structure and an educational manager within the sending organization.
