Assignment description :
AIME is an NGO created in 2009 with the objective of promoting citizen engagement in the service of solidarity, sustainable and inclusive development. The association allows everyone to engage in humanitarian missions and support meaningful projects among more than 40 projects that we support in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe, and working in the fields of education, the environment, the environment, entrepreneurship and women's rights.
AMURTEL's mission is to alleviate suffering and to provide immediate and long-term assistance to women and children in need in order to improve their quality of life. Association website: https://greece.amurtel.org/about-us/
Amurtel offers services to pregnant refugee women and mothers with children up to 2 years of age.
Amurtel's services include pregnancy follow-up, infant feeding consultation, and educational support groups.
The volunteer's first mission is to support the center's free store for pregnant women and families with young children by distributing baby clothes and pregnancy and school items. She makes sure to:
- make appointments for beneficiaries
- store clothes and manage the organization of the store.
- supervise storage and monitor possible shortages of clothing supplies.
- help carry and organize clothing bags.
The volunteer's second mission is as a French interpreter, she must be able to assist Amurtel in these various tasks:
- Contact mothers to ensure clear communication and their presence.
- Register them for group sessions and follow up on their appointments.
- Answer their questions and give them advice if necessary.
- Effectively manage the distribution of resources.
