Assignment description : A bi-governmental organization, the Office Franco-Québécois pour la Jeunesse (OFQJ) is a generator of opportunities for 18-35 year olds. Established in France and Quebec, the OFQJ advises and supports nearly 5,000 young French people aged 18 to 35 each year in their mobility project across the Atlantic (internship, temporary employment, participation in an event, event, commercial mission, thematic delegation, etc.).
The mission is an additional support in the CSAG team, which makes the volunteer a link in the fight against food insecurity and more generally in helping vulnerable people in the Gatineau sector of the City.
The objective is to strengthen capacities for social transformation and local citizenship.
The volunteer will have varied missions, combining field and office. Here is a list of typical tasks, although these tasks are subject to change. It will also be entirely possible for the volunteer to be able to develop new missions and projects during the year, as the CSAG is in constant evolution.
- Food assistance: welcoming the beneficiaries and providing them with food aid;
- Making an appointment, in particular by call;
- Various administrative tasks such as communication and marketing;
- Participation in committees within the region's community network;
- Support the coordinator in her tasks: team and inventory management, general supervision of operations, tidying up the premises (especially when we receive our deliveries);
- Support the mobile worker, especially when traveling;
- Participation in fundraising events.
